Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

(Bottle 47 cl) Slightly hazy pale amber with a small, white head. Aroma of yeast and turpentine. Medium body with fruity accents and some marzipan and diacetyl. Starts off on the sweet side but ends fairly dry. An odd and very inharmonious brew. Courtesy of JCapriotti 120207

Bottled. A hazy orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, spices, and apricot. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - especially apricot, but also a light spicy note.

Poured a hazy glowing orange color with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity malt with notes of brown apple flesh, caramel, sugar, yeasty, and some spicey notes. The flavor was sweet with some more browned apple flesh. Some spicey notes with a tartness on the finish. Medium bodied.

Another rater mentioned that there’s a lot of variance in quality between batches and that might explain my experience with this beer. It starts off malty and sweet and pretty boring, but the after taste is like a cross between budweiser and hard liquor. The aroma is as boring as the taste, sweet and malty. It also kind of burns the tounge a little bit. This is one of my very rare drain pours.

Bottle: Gold bronze color, nice thick head and lacing. The nose is a bit balanced and tart with some hop and yeast, very little alcohol The flavor is nice and sweet with hop and malt, but a snappy end. Finishes a bit lethargic with lots of sugar and zesty yeast and hop. It’s nice but not enough carbonation to grab my attention as well as not thorough enough to convey its meaning throughout its character.
