The beer is honey colored with a light orange head that doesn’t last long. It is nicely carbonated, though. Not a lot of aroma but it is malty. Flavor is also malty but with plenty of barley. There are some undertones going on. Dark fruit is one of them. Lemon is another. A nice zestiness is the aftertaste along with the sweet malt. Some hops begin to appear late. This is one of those beers that you have to keep an eye on because they change from sip to sip. The high ABV is high in this one and it is evident in the warmth. This Abbey Triple should be rated higher on this site. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Mark! - Pours amber with a short white head that fades quick. Aromas of peach, apple, caramel, and some yeast. Flavor of peach, apple, caramel, and lots of yeast with a touch of spice at the finish. Some candi sugar there too and some alcohol on the finish. Palate is sticky but not overly so. Not too bad really.. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Orange and apricot sounds right. really no sour and bitter citrus. Hint of peppery spice. Has some american ale qualities that a purist would not like but I enjoy the cross. My favorite Sprecher brew which sadly doesnt say alot. nick76 (2674), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2006 The aroma has raisins, molasses, spice, citrus, yeast, and dates. The appearance is amber/gold with a small but foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with subtle alcohol. The palate is thin but smooth. The finish is bitter but short followed by sweet dark fruit. Overall I like it. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2006 Has a sweet orange/apricot/caramel aroma with some nose tickling carbonation. Body is a burnt orange/yellow and holds a rapidly diminishing white head. Very un-belgian like in appearance. Sweet candy sugar and caramel malt fore with hints of orange zest and some mild alcohol heat. Tastes ok. nothing wows you, but it’s fairly enjoyable to drink even if it comes across as more of a blonde bock than a Belgian Tripel, Svesse (2680), Hässelby, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2006 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 7 Oct) Golden amber colour with small white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of apricots and ... cloudberry? Fruity taste with apricots (or rather apricot marmalade?) and oranges. Malty backbone gives it a warming, sweet punch. Nice balance between fruit, spices and malt. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2006 Clear orange with no head, minimal lacing. Aroma is oranges, spices, sugar, hint of hops and caramel. Flavor is fairly sweet with some light pepper notes. I had this with truffled potatoes and they went really well together, I enjoyed this even though it was pretty simple. lgklotet (420), Singapore, Singapore
