Medium sweet with bnotes of caramel, syrup and banana as well as esters. Clean but somewhat mushy mouthfeel. No bitterness. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Bottle. Pours a orange coppery color with quickly vanishing white head. Aroma is sweet yeasty alcohol. Taste is pretty sugary with a little spicy citrus. Blah. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Clear golden color with thin white head. Bready and pale roasted malt smell. The aroma is a bit too mild. Flavor begins with some pale malt, wheat and brown sugar sweetness. Soon after some hops enter the picture. Beyond midway the flavor is punctuated by more sugar sweetness and a bit of alcohol. Real nice tasting brew. I love the pale maltiness addition. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Pours bronze with slightly off-white head. Aroma is slightly metallic, vanilla and light cream - notthing like a Belgium tripel. Medium body with light carbonation. Taste had grainy malt with some sweetness and a buttery flavor. Finish has minimal change on the flavor, just a bit spicier. Hardly a tripel. The only positive thing is if you are looking for a drinkable high ABV beer at a reasonable price.
