Dark for a Abbey Tripel though and maltier then most I have had which isn’t bad; it’s just different. Available at Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Dark ruby color poured out of this 500 ml bottle. Very sweet aroma. Fruity and vanilla. Sweetness carries through to the flavor. Had very classic tripel flavor, but not one I have ever had before. Much sweeter and maltier. Different, but not bad. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2006 Pours a dark orange with a semi-clear body that leaves a thin trace of white lace. The aroma is orange, candy, grass, wheat, "orange drink" with a spicy herbal nature in the nose. The taste starts malty with orange peel bitterness, followed by a pale wheat twang, with a cordial alcohal feel on the palate that is heightend by a bitter hop feel. This is a rough version of a tripel, with the high presence of alcohal it seems they had a tough time taming this brew. This is one that will def mellow with age. ratman197 (3270), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas of sweet malt, apple, pineapple and spice. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of sweet malt, light pineapple and a hint of spice with a sweet dry finish. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2006 Pours a medium amber with a small head. The aroma was nice right after the pour but then weakened. Has slight hints of a Belgian Triple but is average at best. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 13, 2006 For me, this has a very bad sour fjunky aroma. A little darker than most triples and not like many of them. Really lacking the sugary candy flavoring, has a lot ofr malts and isn’t that dry. Glad I got to try this travesty for free instead of buying the $15 liter bottle. bum76 (23), port washington, Wisconsin, USA

Rich, roasted malt aroma with some molasses but not all that cloying. Slightly hazy amber with a thin, white head. Lots of flavor, but not a trippel. Heavy alcohol profile, really heavy. Honey comb. Lots of flavor but totally not to style. Still, pretty enjoyable with perhaps some chocolate and/or caramel notes.
