Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

This ale pours with a beautiful golden hue and a white head that mostly diminishes. The aroma is sweet and malty. The beer feels very creamy, mild and bubbly on the palate. Its taste is slightly of citrus with even a hint of a floral bouquet. The aftertaste is light and cleansing, not bitter. As with most Sprecher beers, it is a quality brew and is recommended for the discriminating drinker.

Non-existent head, far too sweet, watered down body, weak representation of a real triple. Tastes like they skimped on ingredients and quickly rushed this one. Unfortunately, I’ve also tasted a couple of these just to confirm my initial thoughts and there seems to be great variance in quality from batch to batch. There’s far too many outstanding triples out there to bother wasting time on this one.

Bottled.. picked up at the brewery. Poured a clear medium shade of amber/orange with a quickly-receding cap of off-white headage and rising carbonation. Nose was quite odd.. wafts of burnt vegetal notes, oak, lighter, freshly-sliced fruits, and aged autmney-feeling hops. Flavor picked up more of the fruits than the wood.. crisp apples and pears, caramel and toffee malts, and a mild floral hoppy presence cascaded over the oaky base. Spicy hops came out as this approached room temp. Well-carbonated, with some sharp alcohol notes detracting from the flavor. Sticky, fruity, boozy finish. Tasty and decent.. but certainly not exceptional.

16 oz bottle. Poured a medium golden with not much of a head presence. Ridiculously sweet nose of overripe fruit, bready malt, and alcohol. Equally sweet flavor profile... lots of light fruit sugars, peppery alcohol, bready malts, and a hint of perfume were in there. Quite smooth across the palate with a bit of sour grapefruit and more spices at the finish. Got a bit better as it warmed, but not a solid tripel by any standard.

Bottle. A dark golden color with a laced white head. A strongly malted tripple with some wheat and grain, but the flavor is more familiar with a refined sugar and light candy. But ultimately this is unsatisfying for the style. Some ceral with a dry wheat finish.

It pour an apricot orange/gold with a good but not hugely lasting head. Thin lacing is noted. The nose is citrus, yeast, alcohol, and light hops that brings a dry sweetness. The taste is all subtle sweetness and complex fruit sense. hugely malted but it has good yeast and hop balance. This beer kicks the shit out of regular abbey triple. This will go toe-to-toe with Golden Monkey. A must get if you visit Wisco.

I liked it. Not enough aroma, I don’t know why. Sweet and a little peppery on the tongue. A middle of the road triple. Nice for an American brewer.

Bottle. Rich golden beer with an off-white head. Sweet malt and estery aroma. Malt/wheat flavor with lots of orange fruitiness and a bit of yeasty spiciness. There’s just something that doesn’t bring it all together.
