Malt/wheat flavor with lots of orange fruitiness and a bit of yeasty spiciness. There’s just something that doesn’t bring it all together. JasonG (701), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 12, 2006 Lightly hazed orange body, decent head formation. Sweet candy, bubblegum aroma. Sugarry flavor, bubblegum, orange, mild spice. A little too simplistic for the style. GG (1682), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 9, 2006 Being this was my first Sprecher, I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. Light fruits in the nose (one reviewer said they noted baking powder) and in the flavor with an addition of some spicy/pepperyness to it too. Clean finish. There are better tripels I will spend my money on." SDbruboy (1833), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 28, 2006 16 oz bottle from BevMo. Pours clear deep orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and bready with a little ripe fruit, spice and floral hops. Flavor is sweet and fruity malts, yeast is prominent as is the alcohol, spice and a weird metallic cardboard taste with a lingering tartness in the finish. Medium to full body and pleasant carbonation. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 26, 2006 This beer is a domestic version of a classic Abbey Triple brewed with an authentic Belgian strain, imported pale barley, malted wheat, and oats. East Kent Golding hops give the finish of this beer a nice dry/bitter balance to the malty and fruity flavors of this beer. Coming in at 8% abv, it is a soothing, relaxing brew, the perfect beer to unwind with, and a great beer to match up with a number of hearty dishes. This beer is aged for 5 months before it is released, giving it time to round out, and become one polished and classy beer.
Sprecher Abbey Triple pours to a beautiful, deep golden color with a tall and rocky white head that eventually fades and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic with some spicy yeasty aroma paired with some sweet malty aroma and fruity esters. The palate is slick and candied on the tongue with nice pale malt flavors, malted wheat flavor, "Belgian yeasty" flavors, paired with estery fruit. Abbey Triple finishes with all of those big flavors up front, then ends with a dry hop bitterness paired with a soothing bite of peppery alcohol.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Very mild, light hints of spice and fruit. A good beer but sort of forgetable and unimpressive. tomxcs (315), Golden, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Pours a golden orange color with little head. At first, this beer has a light aroma of solvents/alcohols and is sweet, yeasty, and grainy, with herbal, cooked grain flavors, alcoholic heat, and some spicy hops. This all puts me off of this beer and is immediately disappointing. Had I read reviews beforehand, I wouldn’t have bought it. As it warms it gets slightly better but is still very bland for a tripel. Drinkable, definitely, but not something I’ll look forward to. Finishes watery and sweet-sour without much of a body. The one thing I do like about this beer is the hops and alcohol sting. Alcohol presence is there but deceptive. I’m used to a much greater alcohol presence in most abbey-style beers.
