Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

Sampled at the Labor Day gathering. Light copper camamel color with almost no head, really pretty crystal clear body. Falvor is all sugar however. Just too overpoweringly sweet.

Bottle: Pours a light golden color with a well carbonated body and a white fully diminishing head. Aromas are of weak yeast and lemons. Flavor is watered down and weak.

The percentile rating when I did this was 56%. That’s pretty fitting because the best way to describe it is mediocre...right about in the middle fo the pack.

Murky copper color with a medium, fizzy head that didn’t last long. Aroma is fruity with apples, plums and a bit of malt. Taste is a big hit of malted barley and oats with candied apples and spice. Nice smooth, creamy palate with a fruity, alcohol finish. A very good beer.

On tap at brewery. Pours a decent enough hazy golden beer with a nice froth. Not a lot of lace. Aroma of some sweet yeastiness. But hold the Double Bubble!! Man I don’t know how they got there, but I am not a fan of bubble gum beer. Too strong on the rock candy maybe? Did not seem anywhere close to a 9% ABV beer. I like the brewery, but this is there worst effort IMO. That flavor ruined it for me.

Pours to a golden/copper hazy body with a huge white creamy, foamy head that disapates to a thin slick. Decent lacing. The aroma is reminiscent of some sort of flavored chunk-style bubble gum. Perhaps orange, watermelon, grape. It’s got that weird artificial flavored gum aroma. I think it’s fairly good, however. Wheat and barley too. The flavor has a huge raw malted barley and wheat to it. The flavor is quite good. It changes from front to finish. Lightly spicy, tons of grains, touch of fruit (banana). Kinda like a nice bowl of cereal with some banana on it. This is quite good. 9%? Wow, that’s hidden nicely. Although not what I normally thing of when I have a tripel, this is quite good in it’s own right. The palate is rich and creamy too. It looks like this beer is graphing a downward trend in quality. Perhaps they "fixed the glitch"? I don’t think this is as bad as it’s been rating recently.

Thanks to Duane. Poured a golden body with a foamy head. Nose was fruity, pear and apple, as was the taste. There was a sourness and something else that was, ah, some banana. This was OK. With the 9% good to start my session with.
