Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

Tasted 1/24/08. Pint bottle. Slightly hazy with a ruby orange hue. Citrus caramel yeasty aromas. Sugary and toffee aromas. Medium bodied with a touch sugary lemon/lime effervescence. Sticky with a nice bitterness. Citrus acidity. Smokey and slightly buttery. Perfumy floral yeast character. Decent!

Pours a slightly fogged amber gold. Slight off white head. Nose is like stale dough. And there is barely anything to that still. A very muted nose overall. Flavor is tangy. Orange citrus, slight yeast. Tangy is the keyword here though. Feel is standard on the liquid and nice on the carbonation. Overall a good drinking experience. Something isn’t exactly there for a tripel, but I guess I need to keep in mind that this is a "new world" tripel. Is it good? Yes. Should you try it? I say, yes.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a light to medium amount of white head. Aroma of yeast, cloves and banana. Flavor is clove and yeast. Fair amount of carbonation with a light body. A decent, domestic tripel.

BOttle. Pours golden amber mildly cloudy. decent off-white head dissipates to a thin layer. Good lacing. Aroma, almost reminded me of banna bread when taken in together. Butterscotch, and sweet fruit. Flavor butterscotch, and lighter sweet fruits, some alcohol on the backend becoming more pronounced after a bit. Full mouth feel, creamy from the carbonation. Finishes with an alcohol flavoring. Decent, wont go out of my way, but would drink it if it was around.

Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear amber with an moderate fizzy white head that mostly diminished with minimal lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet citrus flavor with a medium sweet and small alcohol finish of moderate duration.

Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel". Pours a bourbon color with no head. Toffee, caramels, grain in the nose. Caramel/toffee are the base flavors as well with aged red fruit spice and alcohol in the finish. Not too good.
