Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

Murky orange body with long lasting white head (and I must add that I noticed that the bubbles were very tiny, whatever reason there is for that). Little but VERY strange aroma, not in a good way, fruity herbs, sweet. Acidic flavor, light plum, strong alc in finish, sugar slimieness covers tongue. Medium to thick palate that feels a little creamy. Not very impressed but glad that Sprecher is offering some interesting conversion beeers.5/3/6/3/11 ------------------- Rerate sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel" tasting. Clear dark amber, small off-white head. Red fruit, dough, alc, caramel. Toffee flavor with alc, aged notes, poor. Medium fizzy body. A little gross.

Golden colored ale with a small yet dense white head. Pineapple and banana in the aroma. Yeasty taste, very thick. Some tropical fruit. A little thick and syrupy. Ok stuff.

Dull bronze pour with a little pond scum on the surface. Plain black label with gold lettering, and gold wax on the bottleneck. The aroma is pungent and floral, with touches of honey, grass, cookies, and alcohol. The flavor is full, malty, and sweet. The Belgian yeast taste is prominent, along with raisin, apricot, hops, and a little tar. There is an interesting alcohol warmth that comes in during the finish, followed by esters and a light tingle. This is a good brew, but there is a drawback - it is a little syrupy.

This beer pours a deep orange colour. Cloudy, head is sweet and full, well carbonated. Lively fizzy mouthfeel, creamy and of course wheaty. Coriander, orange peel and a little bananna. Spice is soft but definately evident.

22 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a low to moderate white head with little retention. However, it does have nice lacing. Very sweet nose almost like candy with a slight hint of bread/yeast at the end. Lots of malt shines through giving it that sweet aroma. Flavor is very floral and sweet with a caramel tone to everything. Very pleasant flavor makes it easy to drink. Mouthfeel is a bit odd. At the beginning it almost feels too syrupy but as it goes down it feel a bit too thin....I’m not sure what to make of it. All in all this is a solid beer, probably my favorite from Sprecher.

16oz bottle from KIngdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy golden caramel color with a thin white head that dissipates rapidly and provides little lacing on the glass. Aroma is bubble gum, candy sugar, coconut, sweet malt and maybe some honey notes. Flavor is flowery and spicy with very odd notes similar to sour hay, over-ripe apricots or peaches, some sweet maltiness as well. Light-bodied with a generally watery mouthfeel and slight sour bitter finish. Didnt really care for the bottle that we had.
