Aroma is slightly confusing, but tastes of malts, nutty, coffee, even smoke, but smooth and easy to drink. Will drink again. BelgianBeerGal (1293), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Bottle sampled with Mad_Indian. Pours dark with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted caramel and chocolate malts. The flavor is slightly sweet, chocolate, roast, caramel. Good for its style, but i found this brew to be generally thin and boring. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Thick carbonated foamy tan head. Decent lacing. Caramel aroma, and some smoke. Slight vanilla. Straightforward but good. Roasted malt flavors, chocolate, and lots of malt flavors, all well-crafted. Medium bodied, quite drinkable, and, most importantly, good with dessert. MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is of roasted barley and burntness. There are also some notes of chocolate in the aroma. Palate is surprisingly smooth yet so full of flavor. Flavors include a perfect roasted character, nice malt bill, notes of chocolate, and hints of caramelized malts towards the finish. This is a very good brew. Would definitely buy again.
