The pour is jet black, with a half-finger tan head. Aroma of huge roasty patent darkmalt, espresso, dark chocolate, some molasses. Tastes roasty malty, with a big, chocolate syrupy and coffee flavor that stays on the dry side, plus some molasses, backdoor hops, and caramel hints. The palate is complex, on the hefty side, and balanced well for this style. The finish gets drier, and stays dense on the tongue, all the while maintaining the nice, complex dark malt/chocolate/coffe trifecta. oh6gdx (8839), Vasa, Finland

Some hints of roasted malts with black chocolate. Flavour is quite the same, but the roasted malts come in the strongest. The aftertaste is citrus fruity and also roasted malts. Wellbalanced. Malty nose with soft notes of chocolate and coffee with milk. Roasted taste with chocolate, hints of smoke and well balanced notes of citrussy hops in the finish. Rather dry, medium body. Very good and balanced, but wouldn’t suffer from some more punch. TBone (6783), Pori, Finland

Malty aroma, almost a bit vinous, roasted, vanilla and cocoa. Hoppy, roasted flavor with cocoa, licorice and tar notes. Very good, I really liked this beer. omhper (12224), Stockholm, Sweden

Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Centered around the roasty malt, it’s fragile intriguing malt flavours are really something extra. The hard mouthfeel distracts, and prevents it from becoming world class. cbkschubert (1974), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
