Roasty malt nose, touches of bourbon, dark chocolate. Flavor follows the nose, adds some vanilla notes. The bourbon is apparent, but it does not overwhelm nor detract from the beer, rather, it complements it nicely. Excellent! pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Black pour with very thin tan head. Smells generic and booze like. Reminds me of an off RC Cola. Flavor is strangely sweet, soy, and vinegar like. Seems to be unintentionally tart. Finish is unenjoyable. Not impressed at all.

Pretty black in color, with dark brown edges. Thin head leaves decent lace.
Smells of caramel, marzipan, make it seem more like an aged barleywine than an Imperial stout. Some alcohol smell.
Sweet, almost cloying, yet sour, soy vinegar, some cardboardiness.
Tastes like it could have been a bad bottle, maybe just stored improperly, but it seems pretty oxidized and thin. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

1 L bottle shared with 5 others. Pours black with a light tan head. Smell is sweet with lots of fake vanilla extract coming through, and wet cardboard more so than roasty malt. A touch of bourbon but not a very great nose. Taste was worse, and had notes of Soy sauce, was quite tart, thin and drying, and not at all like a bourbon barrel imperial stout. I’d stay far, far away from this. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA

Ok, just chocolate and bourbon, really. Chocolate, drip coffee, and mild bourbon flavor with some vanilla notes. I was wanting better. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA

It’s sweet and creamy with a note of vanilla and bourbon as well as a touch of roastiness. Full bodied and smooth.
