Commercial Description:
We infused a robust bourbon flavor into our newest limited release by aging it five weeks in white oak bourbon barrels. The balance of six different malts and two varieties of hops compliments the hearty bourbon essence in this decadent Scotch ale.

Big 1L bottle. Poured a dark reddish/brown. Virtually no head. Big malty woody aroma, almost like a barleywine. Sour tasting, hope this isn’t how it’s supposed to taste, hoping for a bad bottle. Not crazy about this one.

(1L bottle) Pours a murky amber-brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, raisins, vanilla, and plum. Flavor of flat cola, caramel malt, raisins, and slight oxidation.

Light brown to red in color, clear, and has a decent head. Smell is dark stone fruits, brown sugar, vanilla, and alcohol. Taste is a lighter than the smell, sugary, sweet, alcohol, and malts.

Pours brown. Looks like a watered down cola. Nose is unique, but not pleasant. Has a sweet malty smell(too sweet). Scotch is barely evident in it’s flavor. Overall it’s flavor is not something I enjoyed and have poured it down the drain 3X now. While I enjoy Ale and multiple versions of scotch(Islay is the favorite), this isn’t palatable to me. Definitely an acquired taste. After three tries, I can honestly say this one is not for me.

1L Bottle: Aroma of alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, oak, peat, and malts. Poured copper/deep amber in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, brown head that diminished slowly. Clear. Some medium-sized particles. Sparkling. Tastes of bourbon, vanilla, peat, alcohol, and smoke. Medium body. Thin, oily texture. Soft carbonation. Smokey bourbon finish.

Greasy corn syrup, butterscotch, peat. Lacks carbonation. This would be overpriced even if it didn’t taste and smell bad. Pathetic. To put this on the market shows this brewer has lost integrity if it ever had it.
