Aroma has lots of German malts, metallic chocolate, brown sugar and raisins. Flavor has a nice malt character, without being syrupy or sweet, rather nice roasty and warming. Has a metallic hint in the chocolatey malts with notes of dark maple, oak, tobacco, burnt figs/plums and later peppery alcohol hint in the long roasty/spicy finish. This is a solid Doppelbock that is highly drinkable and not sticky or sweet like many other attempts of the style. Maverick34 (729), New York, USA
