Poured opaque black with small off-white head. Soft carbonation. Raspberry chocolate aroma. Light to medium bodied porter that starts dry with hint malt sweetness and raspberry and chocolate flavors. Finished dry with light malt flavor. Rather thin and watery, this is a good drinkable porter that could benefit from some more black grain presence. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2006 Poured a dark almost black with a clear body leaving a thick tan head. The aroma is raspberry and alcohal the cocoa comes in right behind with a faint hop presence and sweet milky essence. The taste is strong raspberry with a def chocolate background followed by a cordial cherry creamy finish. The hops in this beer are minimal but the brew is still not overly sweet. I think this beer is different creative and the combination of the flavors blend nicely. I just think that the alcohal is too present, and the flavors are on the weak side.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2006 Interesting and not what I was expecting at all. They are doing amazing things with fruit and beer in Wisconsin. Raspberrys are definitely a welcome flavor that is very evenly matched by the chocolate and cocoa raostiness. Very smooth and easy to drink. A great porter for after dinner. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2006 From a distinctive embossed Sprecher 16oz. twist cap brown bottle with a lot/package number stamped on the shoulder of bottle. Made a good appearance, poured an opaque red hued dark chocolate brown with a foamy tan head that settled into a lightly sticky, thin lacing, moderate carbonation. Had a tart raspberry nose framed by a chocolate cocoa and lightly sweet caramel roasted malts. A crisp, slick and smooth medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Tart raspberry and dry cocoa powdery taste, a light caramel maltiness, a good crispness from the malts and a dry, tart finish.
An interesting porter from Sprecher, I could have used a little more chocolate and caramel flavors to balance out the tart raspberry, but still very drinkable.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2006 Sour milk nose, opaque brown, frothy rocky head. Toasted malt goes by quick, hint of berry and licorice. Juice-like at times, and even like a brandy. Interesting. Takes a minute to figure this one out, so give it a chance first. frankenkitty (1902), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2006 Pours a deep, dark, ruby/brown with a tan head that laces and lasts as a thick film. Fruity currant and blackberry under milk chocolate aroma... like "the pink one" in a box of Fannie May buttercream chocolates. Alcohol appears late. It’s hard to get over metallic notes in the flavor, but when I do it’s easy to find bitter chocolate and raspberries with coffee in the finish. Fruitiness is very forward throughout and the aftertaste is sour but tasty.
