3 yrs old. Bottle from whole foods market on Peterson. Dark brown with smal tan head. Aroma is big raspberries with very sweet roasted and chocolate like cocoa. Flavor is much the same. Body is medium to thin with little carbonation. This might be good as a chocolate bar, but too sweet for a beer. No aged notes coming out either.

Mar 30, 2008 Pours a dark opaque brown color with a small fizzy khaki head. Nose of coffee, roasted malts and some sour lactic. Initial taste begins with a deeply roasted malt with touches tart raspberry. Mid palate of cocoa and caramel. Short palate duration. Mouthfeel is lightbodied and easy drinking. Good head retention and some lacing of the glass.

Mar 21, 2008 Old notes found among my desk, from one of Paul’s tastings. Poured a dark brown. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts. Flavor was of raspberry and coffee, roasty. Palate was medium fullness.
