Tastes citrusy, with a lot of banana, Bazooka, and a solid dose of clovy flavor, and hops. Medium palate, with a smooth finish. Strykzone (1501), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Unusual amounts of cloves in this hefe but that fades with warming. It settles into a dellicious classic tasting brew. Banana begins to come out in the flavor as does the yeastiness. Carbonation is noticeable but not overpowering. I don’t taste any citrus to speak of which is unusual for the style. However, a hint of tartness is evident. Late in the glass it seems to get sweeter and some bubblegum pops up. This is a very easy drinking beer as hefes tend to be. I’m ready for another! weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Appears a hazy gold, 2 finger, creamy white head that slowly fades out. Scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of creamy wheat, clove, banana, bubblegum, and mild sulfer that is barely noticable.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas, perhaps a bit less complex though.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, a bit thin, and slightly sweet and sour with a clean finish.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Poured a cloudy, orange yellow color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light banana, vanilla, buttercream, and a bit of sulphur. Taste of more banana, and light caramel malts, tart citrus, and some light, buttery, toffeeness. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Hazy yellow color with thin white head. Sweet malt and wheat aroma. I also smell some banana. Very nice Hefe Weiss flavor. Perfect for a hot day like today. Mild sweetness plays against grain flavors. Refreshing sour lemon and hop bitterness bits along the edge of my tongue. Solid beer for the style. Jabswitch (215), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Slightly sour yeasty aroma. Pale, cloudy gold. A little more citrus note than a classic German Hefe. Has the yeasty taste with a little banana. I enjoyed the beer. Found it very drinkable. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2006 New in town. Aroma is yeasty, bready and holds mild bannana notes. Body is a cloudy pale yellow and holds a slowly diminishing, two finger thick, white head. Fore is creamy on the palate and possesses yeasty notes, sweet bannana bread some very mild clove notes and a sweeter bannana cream and bubblegum finish. Not a bad Hefe at all though the overall flavor of it isn’t exactly traditional as a whole...the basic flavors are there. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 2, 2006 500 ml bottle. Hazy yellow with a really nice head. Aromas were mostly banana. Clove came in strong on the flavor. It was all there. I didin’t think it was bad at all. Maybe a little underrated IMHO.
