| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 23, 2004 Hazy orange coloured body with blonde coloured highlights and a small white head. Aroma of corn, curacao, coriander seed and honey. Medium-bodied; Light funky wheat flavour up front with some sugars and a bit of ’normal’ tastes. Aftertaste clean from the other flavours with little else-not a strong showing at all! Overall, nice to try-but overall, a bad offering. Stick to some other beers from this brewery and bypass this one. I sampled this 16 ounce bottle purchased from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 10-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a very small head. Aroma is nice and light with oranges with a hint of cloves. The taste is oranges and a touch of banana. A solid hefeweizen. As good of a wheat beer I have had that was made in the US. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2004 Draft, served at the Berghoff, no less, in Chicago. A good thin hefe head with a nice lace. Body is suitably cloudy, like a lemon peel. Nice spice and lemon notes, or maybe that was the smell of the lemon slice they stuck on it. Still, very clean and refreshing, nothing to jump out and bite you, but an ideal lawnmower beer. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Appearance: hazy orange color, thick, though heavily populated with floating yeasties, with a bubbly white head, a solid collar, that thins out rather quickly.
Aroma: banana notes come off quickly out of the nose, available from far-off, but let’s bring it in, for a further sniff...there it is, soft, smooth, creamy, spicy, thick with the banana, lessening some as we go. Good ol’ Bavarian character is in full effect.
Taste: nice, neat little hoppiness up front, solid body, very mellow and smooth, high drinkability factor on this one.
But a bit too mellow for me...really stand-out weizens make a bigger impression, and this one lies down too easily. Lies down, I say, but doesn’t keel over, exactly. Very nice hefe weizen, all told.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Pours a very lite yellow with a small white head. Aroma is standard for the style. Bananas and cloves. Flavor is somewhat thin, with a hint of spice in the end, not much overall. Flavor also imparts a little toffee/butterscotch into the flavor. A nice beer, a little thin for my taste personally, though a big fan of the style jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 18, 2004 Updated: Jul 31, 2005Bottle and on tap at brewery. White, rocky head that fades. Yellow-orange and cloudy. Great flavor of the usual banana/clove varietyt. Distinguished by a spicy, yeasty bite. Cinnamon and allspice. Very good overall. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2004 No real distinct taste to this beer. It’s good for washing down pizzan, but I really wouldn’t want it to drink by itself. Kinda bland and borring. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 13, 2004 Slightly Hazy Yellow Coloring. Frothy Head That Went Away Fairly Quickly. Nothing too Dramatic Here, but a Wonderfully Balanced Hefe... Very Easy To Drink. A bit of Wheat, Citrus and Spice....
