KieferUGA (318), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 29, 2008 16 oz. bottle, courtesy of alexanderj. Murky, light gold color. Smallish white head. Sweet grassy aroma. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Flavor is biscuity, with hints of clove. Finish is yeasty with some pepper.
Baneboot (7), USA does not count Sep 4, 2008 Light pale yellow American light lager looking. Aroma is pleasant enough with a notes of honey and applider but also a hint of staleness. Very little bitterness with an extrememly light mouthfeel. Medium white head which is short lived. Disappointing as a wheat ale. Much more like a lager. blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours unclear yellow with a dense white head. Tastes and smells like lightly buttered popcorn. Hints at fruit, spice, and yeast. Also, the body is a bit watery. Sprecher makes some good beers, but this is not one of them. rudolf (1554), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Goodbar Beer Club. I didn’t know Jelly Belly made popcorn flavored beer. esjaygee (733), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 10, 2008 Cloudy banana yellow with a sudsy white head that retreats slowly. Aroma of standard hefe fare with banana, clove, yeast and some toasted malt. Taste of banana, lemon, mild citrus and light clove. Body is a little thin and tart with a nice dry finish. One of the better Sprecher’s. drfabulous (711), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jul 5, 2008 All the normal flavors of a hefe: banana, clover, and so on. But what throws me off a bit is the smokey tatste.
