| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Copper colored with a nice beige head that fades gracefully into a nice layer of lace. Pine and citrus hops with sweet, sugary malt. Flavor is a dry, herbal hops bitterness with caramel malt coming through in the finish. A bit heavy on the herbal bitterness but still a very tasty IIPA. Earlier Rating: 8/14/2005 Total Score: 3.5 Bottle. Pours a light chestnut with a small head that fades to a nice layer of foam on the top. The aroma is a blast of hops: Herbal, piney, grassy, floral with a slight hint of malt in the background. The flavor is dry with a lot of spicy/sweet hops and some sweet caramel malt fighting it’s way through. Medium bodied with a nice bittersweet finish. I’m not a huge fan of IPA’s but this one was just different enough to be enjoyable. BustedFlat (554), Edina, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Aroma was pretty much hops and heavy alcohol or some kind of phenols, didn’t really smell like an IPAat all. Taste was intial hits of caramel and tastey hop, but very quickly the alcohol came and took over.Somehow ,this bottle was a little off ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Bottle provided by kmweaver. Clear amber body with small, off-white head. The aroma is very light, some caramel, light citrus. The flavor is very sweet, lots of caramel, some vinous, very light grapefruit and very low bitterness. Medium/light body is thin with soft carbonation. What a joke. kmweaver (2489), Sebastopol, California, USA

Pours an orangish-amber color; off-white head with pleasant lacing. Medium, candy sugar and red fruit aroma: umm, hops? Hello? Smells like fruity tea. Average carbonation. Minimal hop presence; boozy candy sugar and tea-like malts; chewy, but not a double IPA. Medium, dry citrus and sugar finish. Overpriced, hopless. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2007 There is a mild grass aroma to this beer and thats about it. It pours a dark orange. Looks unfiltered and has a 1 finger thick tannish white head. I get fresh cut grass, pepper, caramel malt, a little mild citrus, and a ton of other shit thrown into this. I also get a little bit of metal and that belgian bottle conditioned kind of flavor. I guess its good. Not as big of body as I would have expected from an IIPA. I get a little bit of oily resin and coaty mouthfeel, but it is gone in an instant. It really isnt what I expected because the bottle said it was an IIPA. But whatever. It is a nice beer. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2007 Pours a med / dark amber with a large white head. Aroma is a doughy malts, funky spice. Flavor is not very good. I can’t find a date on the bottle but it sure tastes sort of funky for an IPA. Seems real doughy and yeasty. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
