Commercial Description:
This traditional ale was originally brewed in England for the British troops stationed in India. Double dry-hopped,it has intense hop flavors and aromas delicately balanced with a potent, yet delicious, malty sweetness.

Randy's Notes: "Our IPA is of the imperial or double style, therefore much stronger than the normal IPA's now found everywhere. It has a very balanced but different flavor than most US micro types focusing on more on malt and hop balance where CA IPA's emphasize massive hop aroma and bitterness."

Editor's Note: also known as IPA2 Double IPA.

Pours a light copper color w/ a small head and some carbonation. Smells of some nice orange hop notes and light grass w/ touches of carmel. Palate is fairly avg ok coating some carbonation. Flavor is a solid light bitter light citrus and carmel. A decent IPA.

Beautiful looking beer. Nice mixture of hops and goodness. Not a bad beer, but yet not enough to make me want to buy it in bulk.

Dry hopped character is apparent in this beer with its faint aroma. A bit too fizzy with the forced carbonation and little lacing. Body is lacking but has the ability to distinguish its multiple hops flavours. Ordinary IPA.

Bottle poured a clear copper with a small amber head. Aroma was fruity with a bit of carmel. Palate was medium bodied. Flavorwas fruity with some carmel and a bitter finish. Not a really good IPA in my opinion.

Bottle. Slightly hazy pretty orange color. I don’t get much from the aroma. It says it is dry-hopped, but maybe my bottle is a bit old. Some faint grassy, citrusy aromas and maybe a little malt. Bitter up front taste with some honey character and some sweet malt. Kind of oily. Bitter all the way through, finishing with a lingering bitterness. Not the best IPA I have had, but a decent effort.

Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aromas of sweet apricot, caramel, light yeast, and only slight hops. Pours a transparent orangish-amber with a small white head. Lots of caramel up front. Fruity and yeasty in the middle. Finishes with a sour hoppiness. Something is off with this beer. 6-3-5-3-9

Re-rate courtesy of my friends Sam and Jason. Big sweet caramel aroma with some banana bread and light citrus hoppiness. The banana bread presence gives it more of a barley wine feel. Pours a transparent dark amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a ring. The flavor starts with moderate caramel, banana bread, and a hint of toffee. It finishes with an aged citrus and earthy hoppiness similar to a barley wine with a little bit of age on it. Medium-full bodied syrupy mouthfeel with light carbonation. Significantly better the second time. It doesn’t even resemble the beer I had the first time.

Bottle, from trade with Duane. Good nose, sweet. Lemon, grapefruit, grass, green tea, honey, butterscotch. Litely hazy brownish orange color. Small head that faded quickly. Bittersweet flavors, like aroma, with a biscuit, banana addition. Something else I’m not coming up with. Like a lite whiskey maybe, Thicker body, Oily viscous mouthfeel, Biiter finish. Ok, but I don’t like the overall combination in the scheme of things. I love a 16oz bottle.

Poured a darker and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit and caramel. Somewhat fruity. All the aromas on the subtle side. Tastes of oranges and caramel with light flowers. Not overboard bitter. Starts off light to medium bitter and ends on a nicely balanced malty sweetness. Compared to the aroma, the taste was a very nice surprise.
