Mar 25, 2008 Deep amber pour with a creamy, off-white head that doesn’t last. Nice aroma of caramel and malt. A very ’thick" mouth feel of malt, and butter with some good hops in the backdrop. No detection of the higher alcohol content. This finish is much, Much, MUCH too quick. The hops disappear as soon as you swallow, and very little after-taste is detected. I would honestly rate this a full point (4.5 instead of 3.5) if the finish wasn’t so disappointing.

Mar 22, 2008 1.5 litre bottle labled as IPA2. Some skunk on the initial aromas. Letting it sit for a while helped. Lemon and other citrus on the aroma came through. Flavors were a bit off. Some skunk, and some cardboard. I think this beer was pretty badly damaged. Still not very good underneath.

Mar 8, 2008 Pours a amber color with thin white head. Aroma is citrus hop flavors and underlying caramel malt. Taste is the same with the hops and malt being very well balanced, but the hops never really shine through. I think this is for the most part, an English IPA rather then the americanized counterpart. Still, it’s still good.

Mar 8, 2008 Pours a golden color with a thin foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts with light hoppiness. Taste is very nutty from the malts with some bitter hops. Pretty malty for an IIPA but not a bad brew at all.

Mar 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 11, 2008Poured deep golden with off white creamy head. Aroma was strong with rich maltiness and hops. Taste was very sweet with grain and toffee which countered the intensity of the hoppiness. Mouthfeel was creamy yet at the same time held a little bit of a bite from the carbonation. Alcohol was hidden very well. Altogether, nice ale. This was a VERY pleasant beer with the scotchy flavor and the suttle hops. I would buy this again.
-It tastes like a Scottish Ale with a little more hops

Feb 23, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Light amber with large off-white head with lots of lacing. Light dry malt as well as light noble hops. Earhty hop bitterness with dry caramel sweetness (or lack there of), british style IPA, nice. Medium creamy body. Not bad, it should seem fresher coming off the tap, maybe everyone else on the tour is having the "light".

Feb 17, 2008 Nothing spectacular. A good stab at the IIPA style from Sprecher. A lot more balanced than a lot of other IIPAs which is kind of interesting. Not as much of a kick in the teeth as some in the hops department.
