| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2007 (1L Bottle labeled as IPA2, thanks BückDich) Small but persistent beige head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, grassy. Taste is medium sweet, orange/floral, grassy, light dusky. Some dryness in the finish. Light-medium body. At the time I drank it I thought this was very subdued for an IIPA, as it seemed an IPA (at most) in bitterness intensity -- funny to see that it’s in fact aliased to an IPA. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Poured a darker and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit and caramel. Somewhat fruity. All the aromas on the subtle side. Tastes of oranges and caramel with light flowers. Not overboard bitter. Starts off light to medium bitter and ends on a nicely balanced malty sweetness. Compared to the aroma, the taste was a very nice surprise.
