Commercial Description:
This traditional ale was originally brewed in England for the British troops stationed in India. Double dry-hopped,it has intense hop flavors and aromas delicately balanced with a potent, yet delicious, malty sweetness.

Randy's Notes: "Our IPA is of the imperial or double style, therefore much stronger than the normal IPA's now found everywhere. It has a very balanced but different flavor than most US micro types focusing on more on malt and hop balance where CA IPA's emphasize massive hop aroma and bitterness."

Editor's Note: also known as IPA2 Double IPA.

Tap. Clear orange pour. Small white head. Mild pine and citrus hop nose. Taste is sweet, caramel, hops are fairly well balanced.

Bottle for breakfast/lunch. Poured an orange/amber color with a tan, frothy head. Long lasting. Aroma of chewy caramel, vanilla, yeast and citrus. Quite sweet. Flavor was not really all that good for the style. Malt dominated, with some earthy/citrus hops in the finish. Not all that flavorful or tasty. Some mineraliness in the finish which was not desirable. Not great.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Deep gold with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of light hops, and heavy fruit. Taste is of medium hops and fruit.

Pours deep amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops a little off-putting. I love hop aroma, but this is certainly different. Background caramel malts. Hopped up taste that overshadows the malt a bit. Doesn’t quite balance the way I would have liked it too. Much prefer Sprecher’s lager collection.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is caramel, hops, piney, sweet, and very sweet. The look is golden orange in color, clear, and has a white head. The taste is very sweet, pine, hops, some bitterness, and caramel.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Orange pour with soapy head. Aroma is sweet malts, dark fruits, doesn’t really smell like a DIPA. Flavor was yeasty, and some sweet malts. Maybe a faded bottle.

( 16oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours clearish orange. Oily bubbles. Nose of caramel, biscuit. Taste is slightly bitter, decent malt backbone, sweet bread with a bitter oily finish that doesn’t linger. Somewhat watery is a complaint though.
