guyinchicago (516), marengo, Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2009 Poured golden and clear with a thick off white head that stays thourgh out session, aromas of malts, caramel, and hops with the flavors being pale malts, caramel and hops, finish is longlasting and bitter sweet, very drinkable drowland (1337), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2009 Had at the brewpub after a tour of the place. Pretty mild entry with hops at the finish. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA Jul 28, 2009 Oregon brew Fest: little bit dark brown aroma of some caramel and a bit fruity, flavor is slightly sweet med body lots of malt. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jul 18, 2009 Deep golden pour with a modest bubbly white head. Aroma is full of a light caramel note, light apple fruitiness and ends with a grainy and alcohol note. Flavor is a very nice fruity note, light grainy note, some honey sweetness and a mild grassy/floral hops ending. Solid feel for the style and a decent carbonation. Overall one of their better brews and really stands out as a good brew. nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 14, 2009 500ml bottle. Bronze-tan color, some head. The aroma is sweet and pungent, pretty bocky and true to style. Actually ends up being quite enjoyable, with the sweet sugary malt up front, balanced by a nice hop crispness. Some nice lager notes beneath the almost peppery bitterness. A tad thin and watery, which probably is for the best for Sprecher. FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2009 16 oz bottle from my February trip to the brewery (Glendale, WI). My trek to finish my Wisco swag continues! Pours a light hazed amber, moderate bright white head that cakes a bit, well carbonated body, head sticks around and laces. Aromas are a bit malty off the bat, caramel and toffee sweetness, some pale malts, some florals and fruitiness from the hops bump in after a bigger whiff. Initial is light on body, pushing more of a cereal graininess, pale malts seem to fit the part well as this lager takes on a mellow maltiness and respectable hoppy bitterness on the backend. Florals and earthy hops, good bitterness. Respectable for the style, lacking a bit in body, flavors leave the brew sessionable, but perhaps a little dull. muffy (16), Longwood, Florida, USA Apr 24, 2009 Smooth malty taste from beginning to end. There is a short bitter zip on the back end of this beer. This is a deceptively ominous looking bottle for a pretty regular beer.
Though not a bad beer not worth the price. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Apr 16, 2009 (bottle - 16 oz) Clear orange color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet malts mixed with some very light hops and cookie dough. Flavor is a nice balance of hops and malt sweetness. The malts take control near the end and impart a light doughy note on the finish and finishes with a crisp and lightly dry flavor.
