Better than average. Decent. Would drink again over other beers. Just doesn’t blow me away. Normally I am a big supporter of maibocks. This one just doens’t do it for me. Still solid! Not top of the line, though.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2005 16 oz. bottle poured a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma was a bit floral, fruity and sweet. Palate was light bodied and slightly astringent. Flavor was sweet almost a taste of maple, then drying out and becoming a bit herbal with a dry almost bitter finish. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 23, 2005 Deep clear gold. Nose sugary, bit minty, quite hoppy. Bit of rotting vegetable to it. Flavor sweet, a fair amount of hops. Flowery. Most noticeable characteristic is the extremely thick and syrupy palate, a bit too much. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Dry hopped character noticeable and pleasant. Fizzy carbonation which left a quickly settling head and no lacing. Light bodied and clean on the finish. Zero complexity and a straightforward, simple style. beerguy101 (3907), Newark, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2005 Clearish rusted peach body with slow and delicate carbonation within. Thin whitish cap. Lacing in minimal stringy rings.
Aroma has a solid malt sweetness hinting to dried prune and pineapple. Hops are pretty evident as well carrying a nice balance of light floral wax and dry leafy spice.
Taste is quite full and upfront with a bold grabbing malt base, sweet and light buttery front gets swept away quickly to a smokey and roasty middle. Hops come in fast there after with a solid brigade of raw floral grasses and spice. Drys out with a whisp of earthyness leftover as a small rendering of citric hop bitterness plays a harsh flat tone over husk roast and dark bread.
Full on malt feel and partial roastyness ensues over a sweet breadyness as its hefty body is nearly too big for its own good.I like it but it needs to bit smoother in the carbonation. Even once this warms, it keeps one hell of a kick after each swallow.
A fairly well balanced and hefty Maibock that has a nice hoppy kick and tinge of roasty breads. Another solid offering by Sprecher. twindadplus2 (415), Wisconsin, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Beautiful color and a fruity taste. Only reason this beer isn’t higher is due to a sourness to it that isn’t very fun.
