Commercial Description:
SPRING - Pale malty flavors are balanced with a rich hop flavor and a light fruit bouquet in this tradtitional spring-time lager. Extended aging and traditional dry-hopping give this potent, blonde bock a distinctive flowery aroma.

Very rich beer. Hoppy aroma with hints of buttered caramel corn. Flavor is intensely hoppy with both floral and bitter elements; malts are also present with a fruity balance. Very thick, rich mouthfeel. One of the best bocks out there!

This poured a pretty orange-amber with a creamsicle head. The aroma is fruity and inviting and the flavor is a nice cool natural sweetness ... orange, mild bitterness, tart finish.

The aroma is more herbal than flowery. Light orange. Flavor is medium sweet, mildy bitter hops, and more herbs. Medium body.

Pours beautifully clear with a rich clover honey color. Arom is honey scented with hints of rain and just a touch of smooth crisp hops. Flavor is richly malty with earth, more honey and a nice hoppy buzz to the palate. Overall, clean, fresh, drippingly delicious, robust and certainly a top notch Maibock. Spring has arrived. Bring on the beers.

I always thought this was called Mindblock... Solid clear coppper color with a solid white head on top which left lace on the way down. Aroma of Vienna, Munich and caramel malts compete with floral to spicey hops and spicey yeast for aroma dominance. Malt flavor is clean and smooth with solid bitterness and a refreshing yeast finish. The beer has a solid body, yet isn’t so heavy that you can’t enjoy a few.

I recently had this on tap in Mequon. I don’t have anything else to add that hasn’t been said. As such, I won’t say it. Better than most Maibocks I’ve had.

At fests, Sprecher has a fest beer that is essentially this beer. I haven’t heard heads or tails if the beer "is different". Anyway, that version pours to a thick rocky white head that hovered above the glass. Tons of carbonation. The color is bronze. Excellent lacing. The aroma has some bock characteristics. Light banana, caramel malt, too weak. The flavor is rich roasted malts, caramel, banana, light barley. Dry hop (floral belch). The palate is creamy. I thought the non-fest version rates better. Fest: Ar 5, Ap 5, F 7, P 3, O 13.

Booming head. Lively, fizzy beer. Fills my .5L boot with the rising head. Smells sweet and with a strong hops presence, like an IPA. Tastes of grass, lemons, honey and hops. Crisp and refreshing. Good pepper undertones. I’m usually not a fan of maibocks, but this one I like. I think calling it a maibock might be a little liberal, but who am I to judge? That being said, I like this one.
