| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2004 Bottle. Nice pour, golden amber with a dense off white head. Nose is malty with a little hop. First taste notes that come out are malt, caramel, hops, carbonation, and apple. The mouthfeel loses a few points because of a high carbo that bites the tongue. The finish is bitter, yet very, very smooth. I really like this. This would be an excellent session beer or it would go great with a good spicy meal (thai or cajun come to mind). Very well made beer, highly recommended. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

Malty sweet - toasty bread dough; finish is grassy, dusty and full of drying hops. This is a really nice maibock. (Thanks to Dan!) IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
