| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2004 Bottle Autumnal gold, nice narrow white head, good lace. Clean malty & Saaz? aroma. Easy drinking light/medium bodied, crisp finish. Nice malty beer finishes with some bitterness, but still sweet to my IPA palate! I really like the malt in this one, quite enjoyable. I’d like to try this on tap. This seems like a beer to drink FRESH. My bottle was picked up at the brewery for me. I’m not much of a lager drinker or maibock addict, but this beer was a pleasure to quaff. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Not sure what to make out of the aroma. Exactly like band-aids with some pine. Are maibocks supposed to taste like this? Pretty grainy with some pepper, sweet caramel, pine. Not bad...I guess I got used to it. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2004 Amber with frothy white head. Aroma is malt, floral, dough. Good mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter-sweet. Decent drink with food. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 10, 2004 Clear bright amber-copper color with a nice foamy lasting off white head with some lacing. Has a sweet fruity and nutty aroma. Sweet and malty roasty caramel flavors with some hop bitterness in the finish, medium body with a slick and smooth mouthfeel, alcohol well hidden, the hoppiest Mai Bock I have had and I really like it.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 5, 2004 Light grainy aroma with some hints of yeasts and peppers. Pour is a transparent blonde/orange with a quickly dissipating white head. Start is quite sour with astringency. Finish is very very malty with some bitterness on the side. I don’t know, this one tastes weird to me. Overly carbonated. I’m not a big fan. jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2004 Light bronze, soapy, somewhat dense but eventually dying head. Eclectic nose of sweet doughy malt/caramel, minerals, assertive hops and more. Medium bodied, smooth, bitter. alcohol shows just a tad. Malts don’t really make presence known as they should but come out a little more as brew warms (as does the balance) and the palate adjusts to the hops. Damn fine lager IMO. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2004 Clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma is mainly malty, with a hint of fruit and a fading hoppiness. Toasty caramel malt flavors to start leads into a lightly fruity and nicely bitter hoppy finish. Not a bad little maibock
