Aroma is sweet malts mixed with some very light hops and cookie dough. Flavor is a nice balance of hops and malt sweetness. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of cookie and caramel, very light orange for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with wine , honey and spice notes. Head is small, wispy, white with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear, dark orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, between watery and oily and has a fizzy carbonation. The complexity of this Mai Bock separates it from other beers of this style. HonkeyBra (1373), Lemont, Illinois, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2009 16 oz bottle. Pours a light orange-amber with rocky, billowy head. Too bad bottles are screw caps, they’d be nice for homebrewing. Aroma of sweet malt, almost nutty and cracker-like. Definite German "Bock" nose though. Body is very light, almost like a Boddington’s. Mild bitterness balanced with malty sweetness. Finishes quickly. Nice beer- not overly complex, but well made. BustedFlat (554), Edina, Minnesota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Cask. Not one of my favorite styles but I had to try it on cask. Poured a hazy bronze with very little head. Aroma was of sweat yeast dough with a mild grassy note. Taste was of wildflower honey with some yeast background. Mouthfeel was syrupy. The sweetness made this one a beer to sip. bhensonb (4376), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Bottle from Beer Geek. Copper amber color with a slight white head. Aroma of sweetish malt with a little grassy hop. Medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is mild caramel/toffee, florality, light stone fruit, and mild bitter. Not your standard American lager. Really quite tasty. It could almost pass for ale. No higher encomium can be allotted. mcjay (304), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA
