As soon as I opened the bottle I knew I had made a terrible mistake. The smell of pizza burp and vomit was overpowering. I actually gagged a bit. There is a large bubbled head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is an ever so slightly cloudy gold. The smell gets better after it has a chance to open up in the glass. Smells of pepperoni, garlic, and oregano. Much like a pizza before it is baked. The flavor is very complex. Oregano at first, then tomato and finishes with garlic. I never knew when "oily" would be appropriate to describe a beer’s texture, but this is it. The beer coats the tongue. Lingering garlic taste. The Good: The brewers hit their target on making a beer that tastes like pizza. The Bad: That first whiff as I opened the bottle will haunt me for quite some time.

Smells like a pale ale with some pepperoni. Gold pour with a white head. Pale malts upfront with some spicy meat at the finish. Lightly carbonated almost flat.

Odd. Very very odd. It actually does taste and smell like pizza, which in a beer you may imagine is good, but I disagree. Its very garlicy and tomato-y. This is not a good character for a beer.

Poured a gold with a small white head. Smelled strongly of garlic and oregano. Taste was there, but not for long. Left a small garlicy after taste for a little while though. It was alright.

Dearest Dads and Moms, please keep your children away from the monitor for the next few moments..................... Okay is the room okay for a more vulgar discussion?.......................I told myself that I would finally drink this "beer" with some good pizza, well I finally remembered that it is in the frig. So onward to opening the bottle.... it should not say "mamma mia" but more like "mother f**ker". This is without a doubt the worse smelling beer (intentionally that way) I have forced my nose towards. Straight up tomato, garlic, oregano, basil, and pepperoni... and not in a good oven-fresh sort of way. The taste is hardly any better, in fact it is even worse. Fake flavors that have the pizza character dominate any beer character that could have possibly found their way within. Simply put, GAWD AWFUL!!! Hard to say but his makes the Specher Mbege Ale "banana" beer world-class in comparison. Even worse than the Strawberry Wheat and that takes a lot of effort.

Courtesy of hopscotch. Pours gold with a tiny white head. Smells like pizza sauce: oregano, garlic and tomato sauce. Flavor is nearly non-existant with faint toasted malts, hints of tomato soup. Light in mouth. Meh, the nose is unique and seems quite on the money, but it smells like pizza, tastes like pale swill.

LIght orange copper colored pour with a big fluffy white head that quickly shrinks. Nose is tomatoes, yeasty pizza crust, hints of caramel, basil and oregano. Taste is like perfumed roma tomatoes, or the balsamic tomato basil panini at my local deli. Not something I want to drink.

This is a nice novelty beer. Since I love pizza I really liked this. Aroma was perfect. Strong pizza. Tomato, garlic and oregano. Smells like fresh breadsticks. Pour was a light cloudy gold with no head but plenty of tiny bubbles. Taste did not live up to what the aroma was. Extremely strong and biting carbonation drowns out most of the flavor. After the swallow, though, it tastes like you were eating garlicky pizza with a spicy burn on the back of the throat and lips. Nice beer.
