twindadplus2 (359), Wisconsin, USA Apr 12, 2008 Muddy brown color with a small head that disappeared quickly. The pizza is strongest in the aroma to me, with the basil and tomato really coming through. Thankfully, the flavors are much more muted. The garlic, basil and oregano come through but Sprecher is strong enough to be heard over all this. An interesting beer but I think it would be better with pizza than by itself. Interesting note, my pet rats licked their bowl clean of this one (twice!) and they have pretty good taste so it must be good.
JK (2479), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2008 It sure smells like a pizza. Oregano, basis, garlic, and tomato. Tastes like pizza sauce with lots of garlic. They certainly nailed the pizza thing, but I don’t care for it very much. pepsican (762), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Oct 1, 2008 orange pour with a thin small white head. Very hazy. Aroma was bready, some spice and a bit of herbs. flavor was oregano and basil, along with other herbs and more bread. Finishes smooth, interesting. JMFG (1173), Florida, USA Sep 30, 2008 Courtesy hopscotch. Brown-golden color, not much head. Mild Italian herbs (oregano, basil) on the nose, very light malt presence behind it. Taste is quite plain, not much herbal quality, very grainy and bland. fishingnet (855), Brandon, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of oregano, basil, garlic saltep pretzels, some sweet malt, and a hint of tomato. Taste is the same as aroma but less prominent. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Interesting. MatSciGuy (236), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 27, 2008 [Bottle] shared by skyview. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is sausage pizza, spice, basil, organo, tomato, and a touch of garlic. Flavor is the same with more tomato and garlic.
