The aroma is mostly light; some oregano and malt. The taste is kind of like a herb filled Wit; lots of wheat and spices, it does taste like Pizza a bit, but in a mostly good way. Very interesting for sure. Drinkable. If I had a pizza shop I’d sell this for sure. Original.
kegmeister (22), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 21, 2008 Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck. The next morning I wanted to go outside to hunt the dog that sh**t in my mouth, But idea that went Frankenstein. phishpond417 (1360), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 I’m not going to lie- I too was skeptical about this beer. Just from the description, it sounds a bit daring, but it was defiantely an awesome, but interesting tasting beer. Poured a cloudy golden colour with a full fluffy white head. Aroma is immediately of oregano, marinara sauce and and pepperonis. Mouthfeel is light, but easy to miss because your immediately focused on an infusion of pizza and beer at the same time. Pizza and beer in my opinion, is one of the best combos around, and so it only makes sense these two would fit. Taste is soft and spicey, sweet and tomatoey, pleasent all around. and finishes smooth with a delicious pizza crust taste. jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Lightly hazy golden body, small film of a white head. Aroma is amazingly spicy filled with pizza evoking basil and oregano, predominantly the latter. Flavour is similar with lots of oregano and not a lot else. The base beer seems to be pretty mild. Even the touches of garlic others found were largely overshadowed by green oregano. Average bodied palate borders on light, but suits it I think. Smells really good to me, tastes just okay, a novelty that was better than it had any right to be. Interesting to say the least. Drinking a whole one of these myself, it is a lot different than the tiny sample I had from everyone’s favorite ASN comic writer a couple months ago. The "pizza flavors" in this one are actually rather subdued, with only a mild cheesiness and oregano. I actually kind of like it. A pretty easy drinking beer, doughy, smooth. swoopjones (1092), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 bottle shared with Mabel, Jerc & Rudolf. Didnt mind this in terms of a new beer fronteir. Aromas of tomato & oregeno. Marinara scent. Pours a plain Jane yellow which was suprising considering the aroma. Taste has tomato, oregeno, some other pizza spices. Cant drink much of it but interesting.
