| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2007 500 ml bottle. Deep cloudy pale amber coloured brew. Aroma is lightly spicy with soft toasted grain character over a lightly banana-ish flavour. A hint of smokiness with a husky earthiness as well. Warming brings up a slightly vineous sherryish note. A bit phenolic and spicy with light orange citrus, banana and a soft tartness on the back. Honeyed sweetness on the back. The graininess and tartness are interesting, but the phenolics get a bit much after awhile. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Pours to a bright coppery golden body with lots of carbonation and a fizzy white head. The aroma is dehydrated banana chips. No signs of malt or anything else. The flavor is also dehydrated banana chips. A toasted malt lurks on the finish. Oddly intriguing and drinkable. The palate is medium bodied and has a dry extract quality. The banana is really pervasive. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Interesting aroma. Interesting pour, cloudy, like a river that’s been dragged and the sedimit kicked up. The guy at the brewery told me I’d either love or hate this beer. Not sure if I feel either way about it. Overwelming orange and banana flavor. Not like a beer, taste like something else - not sure what. Very different. Think I like it. Bockyhorsey (2543), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 4, 2007 16oz. bottle. Wife bought this one from Wi. trip. Banana is in the aroma but smells like those that are all black from sitting around too long. Murky orange body looked like good head on pour but that disipated quickly. Fruity flavor some banana but the malt caramel has ths one going down like sludge and just creating a sugar golf ball in the beer gut. Carbinated belching afterward. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2007 Dark Autumn Orange Color with No Head. What Could be Perceived as Cooked Bananas, Plums, Spice and Sorghum on the Nose. Light Bodied, Lightly Syruped Mouthfeel. Lightly Carbonated...A Whole Bunch of Cooked Bananas and Subtle Spice Dominate the Brew. At First, It Tasted More Like Plums, But Could be the Bananas from Being Brewed....Bittersweet Dry Aftertaste. Enjoyable Enough. Certainly Worth Trying if Only for the Uniqueness. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 1, 2007 16 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange color. Head was white and dissipated quickly. Very fruity aroma, predominantly strong banana. I have to disagree with some of the previous ratings, it smells exactly like banana candy rather than fresh banana. The smell almost knocked me over. Sweet on the tongue, but not cloyingly so. Flavor is reminiscent of a bad malty hefe with banana, caramel, and a touch of citrus at the end. Tasted better than it smelled, but overall this beer was a bit too much for me. HogTownHarry (4007), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Bottle (500ml). Clear amber, smallish white diminishing head. Smells EXACTLY like a banana popsicle. Guess what? It tastes like one too - okay, maybe some light weedy hops. Sticky, lightly fizzy body, very sweet - hell, it’s all about banana, which I don’t like much - if you do, you’ll dig this. tennisjoel (947), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Wow, I set my glass on the computer desk and could smell the banana on this beer from about 2 feet away! Because the banana was so strong, I had trouble picking up much else. Body is orange in color, with a thin active white head. The flavor is obviously banana, but also other fruits faintly in the background. This tastes a little like the bananas you used to get in Runts candy. A little over the top, but an interesting take. Not terrible by any means.
