Commercial Description:
AUTUMN - Traditionally brewed to celebrate the harvest season, this reddish-brown lager has a rich caramel character and a long flavorful finish. Its delicious malty sweetness is nicely accented by a slightly fruity bouquet and a mild hop flavor.

Hazy orange-amber color with a decent creamy off white head with some lacing. Veggie and bready aromas, fruity, nutty, caramel flavors. Medium bodied with a full and creamy mouthfeel, lasting sweet finish. Gets thicker and more flavorful as it warms, this is one of the best american oktoberfest I have had.

Pours a big tan head and offers a sweet malty aroma, with a hint of Hallertau. Head lingers well as a wisp, but what a pretty beer. Almost garnet, red brown..crystal clear. Taste of toast and honey, but crisp from bittering hops - maybe a tad too much. Great use of toasted malts. Long finish of mouthiness. Super!

Appearance: deep, reddish brown color, clear, with a fizzy, light-tan head of foam, softly simmering down. Aroma: soft, simple, fresh, malty, creamy, grassy, some vegetal notes, with a richness that grows as it opens and flowers. Taste: malts up top and forever out, hardly a hop appearing..oh, wait, I caught a few! Wonderful, warm texture, medium-bodied, friendly flavor. Lip-smackingly sweet, but never treacly, never cloying. Sunny, bright, and yum, yummy, yum! Nice, long finish, and all in all, one of the better American Oktoberfests I’ve sampled recently.

Sprecher isn’t a bad brewery. They have a few respectable beers. This wasn’t too bad. Poured dark amber with a beige head. Easy on the hops. Caramel and malt aroma. Decent body with gentle carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. The flavor was pleasant and was subtle caramel and hops. Decent.

Pours a dark almost red wine-red. medium-sized white head. Aroma is pale and malty, as is the flavor. Spice, bitter, and fruit are detectable in the flavor. Palate was a little thin for my taste. And the flavor was nice, but also lacking.

Clear reddish amber with a thick light brown head. Fruity aroma of honey, caramel, banana bread, and orange with a hint of ginger. Medium velvety body with soft carbonation. Fruity flavor of caramel, banana bread, honey, orange, apricot, and plum with a hint of allspice and cinnamon. A great session beer, perfect for an oktoberfest.

Pours a medium brown color with a bit of a red tint with little head. Caramel and malt on the nose. More malt in the flavor, but not as thick and meaty as I would expect an Oktoberfest to be. It still tastes good, but just a little on the weak side.
