| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 26, 2007 Poured from a 16 oz. Burnt orange, transparent appearance. Hints of lemon and mint, almost suggesting floor polish, some dough and wood on the nose. Clean and weirdly zesty with green apple. Empty and very offensively under-malted flavor leaves a weak, vague sweat impression and a touch of tangy pulse. Grainy, but lacking even a semblance of the assertiveness of rich malt construction that ought to characterize it. Light bodied, sprightly palate. Completely forgettable. Thanks for sharing, Ken. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Pours a dark reddish amber. Lots of caramel and hops. This might be on the bitter side for a Marzen, yet it is welcomed. Has too much of an American touch for me to call this a Oktoberfest. More in vain with Sam Adams October with a fuller flavor and hop presence.
