Aroma is of caramel, sweet malts, dark fruits, and a hint of floral hops. Flavor starts off sweet with caramel, sweet malts, and dark fruits. Finishes with a very slight bitterness of the floral hops and some roasted malts. A pretty decent Oktoberfest that I enjoyed. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is a decent amount of dark malts and and under the radar hops. Flavor is all things malt. Very heavy and some caramel show up. An ok marzen. Like most from Sprecher they are always average but cheap. jstraw (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Pours an acceptable orange/tan head with a deep amber color. Sweet malt, floral aroma with some spice. Sweet malt and caramel dominate the taste, as it does with many Sprecher brews. Kind of watery; not really enough of the character one expects with an Oktoberfest, but still quite tasty. Good example of the style, but not excellent. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Bottle... Hazy, dark amber lager with orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Good, tight retention. Malty, vinous nose of dried plum, caramel, fig and tawny port. Each sip presents gobs of caramel, light molasses and all kinds of dark fruit. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with soft carbonation. Sweet, sticky finish. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Pours a dark orangish burnt auburn with very little head. Nice ripe fruit, honey, biscuit, and light roasted malt. Powerful mouthfeel with a good dose of sweet biscuity malt and a very light floral and roasted character. Pretty good, but Sam is still better. dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Pint bottle. Copper color, with a medium tan head. Very rich malt aroma, typical of a harvest season beer. Caramel dominating the aroma. Sweet, heavy and filling. This beer is a one bottle beer, as it fills you up.
