| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Poured a dark golden/amber with a short lasting white head. Aroma was of strong malt with hints of toffee and a hint of smoke. Taste was dominated by a camel tasting malt(crystal) with a slight roasted flavor residing in the after-taste. Clean finish and a real pleasant beer. I think drinking this one at a warmer temperature really brings out the flavor. Real good brew. One of the most flavorful Scottish Ales I have tasted. Would buy again. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Aroma is very smoky/peety, dry, subtle juniper gin, very intereting. Smoky and herbally flavor with dry caramel malt and slight alc. Medium body and hotly carbonated. This is interesting but a little too much for me.
