Commercial Description:
Brewed in the northern style of an English ale. This light brown ale has a nice caramel and toasted malt flavor, combined with a fresh hoppy aroma that is slightly fruity. This is nicely complimented by a subtle bitterness that rounds out the palate.

Pour is brownish red with a thin off white creamy head. Some roasted nuts and light hops. Flavor is very light for a brown ale, and I detect some dietcytal here as well. Below average even for a brown ale. Drinkable, but not much else going for it.

Pours clear dark copper with a dense beige head. The aroma has well toasted malt, cream and buttery diacetyl. I’ve avoided the diacetyl traits for a while & in my last batch it has been way too much of an issue. Thin body with quite a bit of prickly carbonation. The flavor starts with toasted pale malt, light bits of caramel, some astringency and some peppery spice. The finish is medicinal, astringent and sharp. An adequate beer.

Poured from a 16 ounce bottle into a pint glass, deep amber with a big tan head. No aroma to speak of. Taste was very smooth and not watery, but not much stands out. Perhaps a nutty flavor with a note of caramel. Lightly carbonated. Nothing special.

The Sprecher brewery allows guests to mix and match their own four pack carriers. Straight from a 16 oz bottle, pours an amber brown with a thick off-white head. The head is retained with some good lacing. Aroma is sweet, barley malt, caramel with a little roast grain. Flavor is a little watery with some hint of roasted nuts and sweet malt. A very light hoppy and grainy aftertaste. Not too much fruit per se but a nice light brown ale.

Bottle. Copper colored pour with an ivory head. Nose of tobacco, spice and malts. Overly sweet malt flavor with a strong caramel note.

Clear dark amber with decent head but no lacing. Modest nose and light flavors of chocolate, roast coffee and caramel. Not much in the finish. Pleasant, undistinguished.
