Commercial Description:
Brewed in the northern style of an English ale. This light brown ale has a nice caramel and toasted malt flavor, combined with a fresh hoppy aroma that is slightly fruity. This is nicely complimented by a subtle bitterness that rounds out the palate.

My notes had Pub Ale pegged as an English Bitter. Grainy, yeast, fruit (grape), flavors with low malt and a tan body with thin head. I found this just average, not a big fan of Sprecher’s lighter (alcohol) offerings.

Pours an amber brown with a respectable white head that diminishes, but stays thinly and coats the glass. Caramel candy aroma. Tastes of sweet toasted malt, maple syrup, buttery toffee and a slight hoppiness. This is good. A little thin, but then so are many Brit ales.

Bottle. Clear orange/copper with a medium head. No retention. Tastes of caramel and toffee chews, roasted caramel malt and toasted grains. A little bitterness to finish. Medium to light body.

16 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was off white with decent retention and a bit of lacing. Aroma was of husky grain, toffee, and fleshy fruit. Dry and bubbly on the tongue. Pretty bland as far as flavor goes. Just a bit of toasty bread and stale fruit. Eh.

Dark copper color and nice white head. Malty caramel aroma. Taste is smooth if not a little watery. An easy drinking session style beer.

Bottle wife brougt back from Wi. trip. Aroma has a wet grain to it but also some toast and nut. Light brown body when held to light more of an amber color. Good roasted and caramel nutty flavor. Thin body texture but smooth on the palate and enjoyable brew.

From a bottle from Woodman’s. Pours brown with good carbonation and some maltiness. Fair for a brown ale.
