| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2007 My notes had Pub Ale pegged as an English Bitter. Grainy, yeast, fruit (grape), flavors with low malt and a tan body with thin head. I found this just average, not a big fan of Sprecher’s lighter (alcohol) offerings.

Caramel candy aroma. Tastes of sweet toasted malt, maple syrup, buttery toffee and a slight hoppiness. This is good. A little thin, but then so are many Brit ales. Head was off white with decent retention and a bit of lacing. Aroma was of husky grain, toffee, and fleshy fruit. Dry and bubbly on the tongue. Pretty bland as far as flavor goes. Just a bit of toasty bread and stale fruit. Eh. dchmela (1452), Orlando, Florida, USA
