16 oz bottle from Sandy’s Liquors. Nose of caramel and toastiness. Clear cherry brown with a medium beige head. Flavor is caramel, toasted wheat, and light background bitterness.

Nov 27, 2009 Akin to Newcastle, this brew is nutty and somewhat caremely and nutty. Quite tasty at a warmer temperature. Not really recommended - their Hefe Weiss is much better in my opinion. But this is still a good ale. No doubt.

Sep 24, 2009 Pours dark red/brown. Creamy, frothy head. Roasted malt aroma. Faint roasted flavor with some bitterness. A little thin, but good.

Jul 23, 2009 A deep ruby brown color with a thick off-white head that quickly calms down. Aroma is very sweet with brown sugar, raisin and caramel malt. a slight nutty note, light chocolate malt also in there with a toffee finish. A strong toffee and caramel flavor at the front, plum middle and a nutty ending. Overall a decent offering by Sprecher but just not a beer I would enjoy on a regular basis.

Jul 8, 2009 16oz bottle. Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma is very chocolately, with lots of malt, caramel, smoke, and dark fruit. Smell is very appealing. Taste starts off with lots of chocolate and smoke. Some dark fruit comes through as the beer warms. Backbone is of light caramel malt. Has a light smoky flavor that comes out as you drink more of it. Lingering taste of chocolate and malt. Moutghfeel is pretty thin, which is the only downside to this beer. Very drinkable, with a decent taste.

Jun 27, 2009 16 oz bottle. Brown, hints of ruby. Small light tan head. Not a very strong nose. Smooth on the palate. Flavor is toasty malt, light caramel flavor. Great balance with the hops. Nice beer, good session brew.

Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nut and fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Good drinkable brew.
