Pours a hazy golden yellow brew with a thin off-white head and leaves an average lacing. Aroma of a typical hefeweizen, banana esters, sweet wheat and some cordiander. Taste is medium bodied, fruity, character of light molasses, and some black pepper. Finish is a little gritty with some lingering yeast palate. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Somehow they made a German hefeweizen. Cloudy gold color and lots of sediment. Banana and citrus in the aroma, and a sweet wheat flavor of a medium quality hefeweizen. Well done. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Thanks Skyview for sharing. Hazy yellow color with fain head. Wheat and banana on the nose. Banana body with a unique banana like fruit taste. Surprisingly good for a sorghum beer. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Thanks to skyview. Pours a hazy orangish color with a tiny whitish head. Smells like a hefe, which is wird because it is a gluten free beer. Definate banana on the flavor, but really neat as it has some wheat beer funky yeast spiciness. Very good for a gluten free beer. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Brewed with sorgham and millet so no wheat and barley but it similar in taste to hefe-weisen style. Light, sour tartness. Bananas, clove, cordiander. Best Sprecher I’ve had so far but not my thing. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | May 13, 2007 Those poor souls who can’t handle wheat! This is absolutely terrible - I can’t believe it’s up this high. Has a sour, almost horrifically sour bite of vinegar and something else. Not good at all. bum76 (23), port washington, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 6, 2007 This pours a very hazy apricot body that chock full of particulates and is topped by a small, creamy off-white head. The aroma is that of a watery orange juice with a splash of vanilla extract. Tastes a bunch like watery OJ, too, with some pureed bananas and mild brown spices. This is an interesting experiment by Sprecher, but I doubt I’ll be having it again.
