Brownish-gold beer with a thin beady head which fades quickly. Good griffin emblem. Nice pint, this. Well-bittered, light caramel, crackery. Slick mouthfeel, crisp, woody break at the finish. Bittering clings just a bit too long. This is my second Sprecher’s and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Better when it warms. Ale in the Mail selection, June 2007. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Clear amber. Large spongey tan head settles to about .5cm. Sweet, biscuity caramel malt and floral noble hops. Simple but good. Finishes crisp. Medium/light body, balanced carbonation. Easy drinking. tmorenojr (6), Winter Park, Florida, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Just got it as I am now in the beer of the month club. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 3, 2007 generic bottled amber, w/ a funky plate linger. Purely mediocrity. Odd stale malt, Ehh. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Pour is a light amber with minimal head. Aroma is mild caramel sweetness. Flavor is mild sweetness. A light caramel flavor with just a touch of toastiness that can be detected when its cold, but as it warms the caramel is the only thing noticeable. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Enjoyed on tap at Miller Park while enjoying a 4-3 Brewers win over the Marlins last night. Red/orange color, nice tan/white head. Smells nice and grassy, not just grass but the smell of a wildgrass meadow on a breezy day. Flavor of caramel malts, a slight spiciness. As the description states, a nicely balanced, easy-drinking beer by Sprecher. theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2007 Bottle. I had this many times in college, though never rated. A friend had this at a BBQ over the weekend, and I was happy to find out I still love it after many years and new beers. Pour is amber, with a medium white head that goes quite quickly. Aroma is mostly malt and a bit of hop. Taste is a nice belnd of malt backbone and hop flavoring. A nice carbonation makes this very refreshing. Wish I could get it in MO/KS! joefflin (66), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2007 a very solid brew. i had it in the bottle so i can’t comment on the apperance of the actual beer, but i love the 16oz bottle. It has a nice mouthfeel with a slight carbonation, i still prefer there black bavarian, but this was good as well.
