Commercial Description:
A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

Bottle. Potent caramel-malt aroma with light floral hops. Some biscuity toastiness. Pours a deep golden-amber, with a lacing beige head and medium-strong carbonation. Crisp and hoppy taste, nice controlled (but strong) bitterness, caramel and toast. Mostly full body. This isn’t like the Viennas I’ve had in Europe (a let down from a brewery I respect for style fidelity), and not as complex as Sprecher’s other offerings, but a good one nonetheless.

Compact 16 oz bottle. Pours more copper than amber with light tan head. The aroma is very light and seems to consist of two different malts. One is a lightly roasted variety, Munich maybe, the other is a bit more roasted. The flavor might have a touch of the lightly roasted grains but it is more roasted malts or slightly nutty. The hops actually come through a bit stronger than the malts. It is a nicely balanced light tasting beer.

New in town. Aroma is mildly skunky, stale hops and light malts. body is a nearly clear amber and holds a creamy, two finger thick, lasting tan head. Fore is a little toasty and backed up by some mild fruity/caramel sweetness. Low hop flavor profile, suited to the style. Finish is a lingering caramel, apple bread sweetness I find rather tasty.

500 ml bottle. An Orangeish pour with a fading white head. Aromas were very lageresque. Some malt. Flavors had that familar lager twang. Some roastiness, but not much. Hops were hidden down there too. Not great, but drinkable.

This one of my favorite summer beers. Looks about right, orange/amber, good froth. Lots of caramel and malt that lingers and rolls. Sweetness well balanced with enough hops. Reminds me of a German Oktoberfest, before the advent of "Fest" beers.

Really smells like a lager, not too good. The taste has quite a bit of hops for an amber and I think it is a pretty decent beer. It seems that whenever I say that about an amber it turns out to be a vienna.

meh. Better then other macro lagers but still that same crappy smell. Better then Heineken if that helps.

Pours light amber color with small head. Unappealing toasted caramel aroma with some hops in the backgraound. Slightly bitter finish. Somewhat disappointed overall.
