Commercial Description:
A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

Pours yellow-orange with little head or lacing. Aroma was malty and pretty good. The taste was a disappointment after the aroma. I was expected a little more from this beer.

This beer starts out malty and has a hoppy finish. One of my favorite beers, and one to which I compare all other Ambers. Excellent.

Amber in color with a nicely lacing white head. Gave off a musty "non-aroma", with low diacetyl notes. Malted flavor with a light sour/spicy yeastiness about it.

Sprecher’s flagship beer. Decent amount of hop character present but hardly any malt used even for this style. Light oxidized taste of cardboard. Finishes clean except for a slight musty presence.

Had this one at a wedding. Bar was crowed so she didn’t give me a glass. Had a malty aroma that Iusuallt get from an amber. Flavor had a creamy texture to it. and you could tell hops were present. Easy drinkable beer with a wedding spead. Must of been I had three.

Pours a thin amber body. Aroma is lagery, with a hint of caramel. Flavor is dominated by caramel with a small hint of hops. Blah.

16 oz. bottle. Pours orange amber with a good sized off white head. Aroma is toffee malt, toast and a nice herbal hop fragrance. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tastes of caramel malt and fruity, spicy hops. Nice toffee and hops finish. A bit more hops than I expected in a vienna but I thought it balanced well. Very good.

16oz bottle pours amber with a slight offwhite creamy head. Aroma is of caramel malts and slight hops. Flavor is of caramel and toffee. Pretty sweet. On the palate it is medium bodied and finishes with a toffee aftertaste. Not bad but nothing special at all with this one.
