Jul 18, 2005 16 oz. bottle. Pours orange amber with a good sized off white head. Aroma is toffee malt, toast and a nice herbal hop fragrance. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Tastes of caramel malt and fruity, spicy hops. Nice toffee and hops finish. A bit more hops than I expected in a vienna but I thought it balanced well. Very good.

Jul 10, 2005 16oz bottle pours amber with a slight offwhite creamy head. Aroma is of caramel malts and slight hops. Flavor is of caramel and toffee. Pretty sweet. On the palate it is medium bodied and finishes with a toffee aftertaste. Not bad but nothing special at all with this one.

Jun 10, 2005 Pours a copper color with little head. Very malty and a bit of yeast taste. Hops are there but ever so slightly. Finishes a bit metallicy. An okay beer.

Apr 20, 2005 Gold Coloring with Nice Creamy White Head That Disappears to a fine Skin on the Surface. Buttered Toast Aroma...Verging Towards a Skunky Smell. Malt, Toast and an Array of Hops. Sticky Mouthfeel..it Clings to Your Palate, Making you Slow Down to Really Consider This Brew. Sweet and Lightly Dry Ending. Interesting With a Nice Drinkability to it.

Apr 9, 2005 Had at Shish Cafe in Middleton, WI, bottle. Clear and light brown in color with a thin white head. Toasted malt and caramel aroma. Slightly sweet with a toffee flavor and a bit of cracker. Light hop flavor also. Very clean and easy to drink.

Apr 2, 2005 This was one of the first beers that put me on the microbrew express. Its very widely distributed in Wisconsin. The quality over the years is very inconsistent. If you get a good tap or bottle, you get that ever present Sprecher carmel malt tasteoverlaid with a very nice hop blanket. When it wasn’t as popular 99% of the stuff was of this quality. Lately I’m running into more blander glasses at resturants and at the Brewer games Go on the Brewery tour for really fresh stuff

Mar 22, 2005 bottle. the commercial description is spot on, toasted malt and a nice hop boquet. actually hoppier than I expected for a vienna stlye but the balance is just right. IMO Sprecher brews up some very good suds, not always great, but solid, flavorful, high quality beer. this is one of those beers I could consume in MASS quantities!

Mar 12, 2005 Updated: May 10, 2007This smooth beer follows in the tradition of Sprecher’s quality standards, but it lacks feeling. Not bad by any means, this beer simply lacks something unique to make it a sparkle. Another medium and smooth vienna.
