Commercial Description:
A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

Bottle: Clean amber hue with very good frothy head and lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, toast, and biscuit malts, grassy hops, light pineapple, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts mellow and lightly sweet. A hoppy bitterness soon follows with a dash of fruity undertones. A floral character leads to a mild biter and metallic finish. The feel is a bit watery. Quaffable, but leaves something to be desired. Thanks for the bottle, MrFacto.

Crystal clear amber coloured body with copper tints and a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of malt, funk, cardboard, some pit fruit anda bit of caramel. Light-bodied; Assertive acidic quality up front showing tart off-flavours and a bit of the malt. Aftertaste still sharp due to the wierd flavours, not pleasant at all! Overall, not good at all, compared to other beers! A let down to say the least! I sampled this 16 ounce bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 31-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Appearance: clear, pure amber color, with a thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma: soft, but a little spicy, nicely hopped, tingling and lively, fresh. Taste: hops continue to display their charms on the palate, staking out a perfect claim on the tastebuds. Just right. Malt is abundantly tasty, too, a bit toasty and warm, very friendly. Rich and, yes, complex, with a long, satisfying finish. Hops return with each sip, malt never lags, flavor continues to roll around in the mouth and spread delight. A near perfect session ale. Bright delicious fruity flavors playfully interject in the middle...I can happily down this with gusto.

Nice head. Once again, few bubbles I wonder if something may have been wrong with the tap/keg at Hooligans??). this beer simply didn;t have a lot of flavor to it. I can imagine it would be refrehing on a hot day, but I wouldn’t normally choose a beer with so little beer flavor.

Pours a bright, clear copper-amber color and is topped by a light tan to cream colored head. The aroma has notes of bread, caramel, lightly toasted malts, crackers, and perhaps a faint grassy suggestion of hops. The taste is clean, dry up front, yet off dry in the middle and finish. There is a lightly spicy hop component and a corresponding clean hop bit in the finish which perfectly balances the residual malty sweetness that is left in this beer. The malts manifest themselves with flavors of biscuits, toast, and a nice caramel note. The hop character of this beer is quite nice, and really starts to open up as this beer warms in my glass. This is a really nice Vienna Lager, it is pretty much spot on for the style. For those who appreciate the subtlety that is this style, this is definitely well worth seeking out.

Nice amber body with a small lasting head. Decent sweet aroma with a touch of citrusy/perfumey hops. Flavor is also decent, with a nice, non-overpowering sweetness and again nice touches of hops. Mostly a piney flowery thing. Good pub beer.

Pours a nice dark red-orange color. Head is a lingering small one at that. Flavor is a full-bodied amber. A bit of malt and and distinct crisp flavor. Very nice beer to sit out with and sip on during a gathering.
