Pours a slightly hazy amber-orange with a thin, creamy, off-white cap. The nose is a muted, lightly toasted malt with a subtle fruity hop note in support. Light to medium-bodied and slick, the mouthfeel transitions to a lightly grainy and mildly dry finish. Sweet and fruity toasted malt with a light hop bite. A decent, quaffable session brew, but following Brooklyn Lager, it pales by comparison. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2008 16oz Bottle. Pours a dark amber/orange with a nice, white, lingering head that laces very nicely. Aroma is mainly sweet malts with a hint of hop presence but nothing super notable. The flavor comes in sweet in the front with a bit of bitter at the end. So I guess that makes it fairly balanced. :) I do feel that there could be a little more to the flavor, it’s a fairly "safe" beer, however, it’s not bad. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2008 A quality amber lager. Looks a bit better than the flavor that I got. Pours a gorgeous copper color with a puffy white head. Very nice. Aroma is decent, though not quite as floral as a top Vienna, like a Sam Boston Lager. A bit over bittered on the back of the palate. Enjoyable, but not one of the best. Would definitely order again, if given the opportunity. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2008 This beer pours a very nice amber colour with a medium sized off white head. Pleasent amount of sweet roasted malted flavors and a moderate amount of hops in the finish. Nutty, soft caramel, and subtle hops in the finish. IlanMan (817), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2008 Pour was dark amber with a medium light tan head. Aroma was of strong caramel and malt. Flavor was a little hoppy but mostly malty with strong notes of caramel. Was real smooth and pretty good. Might buy again. HogTownHarry (4005), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2008 Bottle (16oz). Slightly hazy rich amber pour, nice bubbling and a 2cm foamy beige head. Light, crisp aroma of mild fresh cereal grain, toasty caramel sweetness, and light herbal bitterness. The taste - well, I’m disappointed; elements from the aroma, but mostly just bottle metallic harshness. Light body, somewhat undercarbonated, crisp-finishing, but that metal lingers, I’m afraid, although it seems to fade as it warms and opens, leaving run-of-the-mill bland toasty grain and light herbal/grassy hop bitteness in its wake. valleyguzzler (26), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 2, 2008 To me, all the Sprecher beers are very overrated. In Milwaukee, we’ve had them around for 20+ years and my opinion hasn’t changed much. Kind of a homebrew taste to it...in fact I have made better homebrews than this stuff. Still, if you are looking for a beer with a real beer smell to it and you like the yeasty taste it has, you can put up with it. Myself, I’d rather spend my money on some of the other micro brews out there.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Bottle. Poured into a Weltenburger mug without much head. Aroma is metallic with roasted caramel. Not a good sign. Flavor is sticky sweet with a lingering buttery finish. Some breadiness with a light grassy, hoppiness. The beer sucks. I just cant get over the metallic scent.
