Commercial Description:
A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

verynice pour. golden amber body, creamy soft white top. Fresh, light grain aroma with a hint of spicy/musty hops. caramely! some dmso. lots of toasty grains, a hint of resinous hop lingers. a good session/food beer. I think PhillyBeer2112 had it right with Pizza

Fairly bland offering from Sprecher. Not too much aroma, appearance, taste, palate, or overall goodness. The best thing about this brew is its drinkability.

Bready pale malt akin to a pale ale: earthy and bitter. Decent Euro hop. Bavarian malt but with a hint of US hops. The appearance is clear golden orange. Decent finger of eggshell white head that shrinks quickly. Severely bitter Bavarian malt flavor. A nice flowery/Euro hop adds another dimension of flavor. A really good American-style amber. Flowery hops add a lot. Butterscotch. Creamy and smooth feel, butter. Good for style. A damn fine amber. Buttery and smooth and nice. Better than the sum of its parts.

Bottle. Pours amber with a slight white head. Lightly bready aroma. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is roasted caramel, but there is a good amount of grassy bitter to tamp down the sweet. Better than a macro lager.

Sampled at Lundeen’s Brew Ha-Ha 2009. Pours a clear amber color with a decent white head. Aroma has a nice toasted malt presence, slightly bready with mild grainy notes, hops adds a light flowery and grassy note to the brew. Flavor has a strong sweet vienna malt toasted presence with mild grassy notes. The body is pretty good and it has a modest amount of carbonation. Overall the flavor was great on this pretty good brew.

I guess amber lagers are this way, not impressive, but ok. Clear copper color, thin white haed. Hints of malt aroma, no hops. Caramel and malt flavors. Medium bodied, hop bitterness that lingered.

Had at the brewpub after a tour of the place. Not bad, but reminded me of Sam Adams... not sure how I feel about that.

Draft at Craft. Pours gold with off-white head. One of the golder ambers I’ve had. The nose and flavor had hopcitrus, pale male, and some mild fruit, but not a great deal was going on with this one. Average and forgettable for me.

Bottle and draft. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Chewy caramel notes, butter scotch, lighter liquid nuttiness and a caramel earthy bitter finish. Eh.
