| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 9, 2005 Deep red-brown body, thin light tan head. Aroma of toast, toffee, brown sugar, and earthy hops, perhaps a touch of grapeskin. Rich, bready body, with layers of toast and candies, hints of butterscotch, with a touch of dark fruit. Long, caramely finish. A bit more strongly carbonated than most lagers. twindadplus2 (417), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2005 Deep, walnut brown with a creamy head. Aroma is sweet caramel and a hint of dark roasted coffee. Flavor is sweet, smoky malt with some dark chocolate and a nice hops bitterness. Lively carbonation with a nice medium bodied palate. Finish is bittersweet and roasty but a bit short. Very tasty and satisfying, especially when it warms a bit. Just what I need to get me through the winter. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Good amount of hops used in this beer but lacking in the amount of malt used. You can barely make out a roasted malt character with a light coffe taste. Forced carbonation adds a fizzy texture to the beer that oddly competes with the hop profile. Strange metallic flavour and a finish that fades too quickly. 1FastSTi (2579), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Poured from a 2004 bottle, this beer is a clear mahogany body with a thin fizzy soda pop head. The aroma is caramel and light coffee (too weak). The flavor has some smoky characteristics along with dark roasted malts and a sweet bocky taste. Light coffee and tea. The palate gets creamy and thick if you don’t swallow it immediately
